Safety
Stay safe in East Village — emergency contacts, crime updates, and what's being done.
East Village is a generally safe neighbourhood, but like anywhere in London, it pays to stay aware.
Current issues
The main safety concerns residents report are:
- Phone thefts — moped and e-bike enabled snatching, mostly on Celebration Avenue and the approach to Stratford station
- Parcel thefts — deliveries taken from lobbies and postrooms
- Bike theft — from communal bike stores and the rack on Celebration Avenue
