GetLiving’s pet policy

GetLiving operates a pet-friendly policy in East Village. You can keep pets with prior written permission.

To get permission:

  1. Contact GetLiving via the app or your building team
  2. Provide details of your pet (type, breed, size)
  3. You may be asked to sign a pet addendum to your tenancy agreement

GetLiving typically approves dogs, cats, small animals, and birds. Exotic or potentially dangerous animals are assessed case by case.

Deposits and pet damage

You may be asked to pay an additional deposit or pet fee when registering your pet. This covers potential damage beyond normal wear and tear.

Rules for dog owners

  • Dogs must be kept on leads in communal areas within the building
  • You are responsible for cleaning up after your dog — including in the grounds
  • Dogs must not be left alone for extended periods if they bark excessively

Green spaces for walking dogs

East Village and the surrounding area have excellent dog-walking options:

  • Wick Field — immediately adjacent to East Village, good open grass
  • Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park — large parkland, though check signs as some areas have restrictions
  • Victoria Park — 15 min walk or short bus ride, dog-friendly with large open areas
  • Hackney Marshes — great for longer walks along the Lea Valley

Vets

  • Vets4Pets — Westfield Stratford City
  • Stratford Vets — Stratford town centre

Pet-friendly cafés
