Belvedere Park Improvements Starting January 2026
Work has started on a programme of improvements to Belvedere Park — the green space at the heart of East Village between the residential blocks on Celebration Avenue and Victory Parade.
What’s Being Done
The works, commissioned by Get Living and delivered by the Olympic Park’s landscape team, include:
- New planting — additional native shrubs and perennial planting along the park’s edges
- Drainage improvements — addressing the waterlogging that’s been an issue in the central lawn area during wet weather
- Play equipment upgrades — the existing play area is getting refurbished equipment and new safety surfacing
- Seating — four new benches, positioned to make use of the afternoon sun on the south side
Timeline
Works started in the first week of January and are expected to complete by late March, ahead of spring. Some sections of the park will be fenced off during active work phases.
Background
The improvements follow feedback collected through East Village Connect and directly through GetLiving’s resident portal. The drainage issue in particular had been raised multiple times since 2024.
If you have questions about the works, contact GetLiving’s estate management team via the resident portal or in person at the management office.
